Overview
FlightSafety International is the world’s premier aviation training company, providing advanced flight simulators, visual systems, and maintenance training globally. As a Software Engineer V, you will set up and maintain the simulator server stack environment, support software engineering teams with builds and deployments, and contribute to secure, high-quality simulation software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Minimum 10 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education & experience)
- Windows (Server, 7, 10, 11) and Linux (RedHat) expertise
- Programming experience: C++, C#, C, PowerShell scripting
- Visual Studio IDE and source control systems (ADO or Git)
- Knowledge of network switch programming and cybersecurity hardening
- Valid Driver’s License and Passport
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret DoD clearance (active clearance is a plus)
- Strong written and verbal technical English
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain servers across multiple platforms
- Set up file structures and manage simulator software configurations
- Perform software builds, packaging, installations, and deployments
- Support device driver implementation and debugging of simulation software
- Perform cybersecurity measures and risk mitigation
- Analyze system logs for technical troubleshooting
- Document procedures and maintain accuracy of assigned tasks
- Travel, shift work, or special hours as required
