Key Responsibilities
- Research, design, and deploy production-grade ML and Deep Learning models optimized for large-scale educational applications.
- Collaborate with AI teams, engineering, product, and subject matter experts to solve complex product challenges.
- Curate and generate datasets, including synthetic data, ensuring high-quality input for models.
- Develop efficient pipelines for large-scale datasets (billions of samples).
- Fine-tune or train LLMs and other foundation models; leverage prompt engineering and agents.
- Optimize models for both accuracy and computational efficiency in production.
- Write clean, modular, and production-ready code with tests and documentation.
- Present findings internally and through academic publications in peer-reviewed venues.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, Applied Math, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in ML/Deep Learning and software engineering.
- Strong understanding of mathematics and theory behind ML and Deep Learning.
- Experience with Python ecosystem, including PyTorch, PyTorch Lightning, Hugging Face, Transformers, scikit-learn, Ray, Jupyter, and Weights & Biases.
- Knowledge of LLMs, training/fine-tuning, and deployment practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; fluent in English.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in multiple modalities (text, vision, speech).
- Software development expertise, including backend APIs, front-end demos (Gradio, Streamlit, React, Flask).
- Advanced prompting, agentic systems, and LLM training/fine-tuning experience.
- DevOps proficiency (Docker, AWS EC2/Batch/Lambda).
