Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network traffic, system alerts, and logs to detect and respond to malicious activity.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits; recommend remediation strategies.
- Maintain and monitor endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security systems.
- Support incident response: investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and business units to enforce secure configurations and access controls.
- Review third-party SOC reports and conduct annual evaluations.
- Perform employee security awareness training and testing.
- Document security incidents, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats.
- Assist with vendor risk management.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst, Security Engineer, or related IT security role.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and vulnerability management tools.
- Knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with incident response, forensic investigation, and threat intelligence.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance (SOX, PCI-DSS).
- Relevant certifications strongly preferred (CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, GIAC).
- Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
- Familiarity with SDLC and secure coding practices preferred.
