Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Class 1/A driver’s license with Air Brakes endorsement.
- Willingness to travel internationally, cross-border, and for extended overnight trips.
- English language required.
- Experience not required – training provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Drive solo, in convoy, or as part of a two-person team.
- Load, unload, tarp, and secure cargo.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
- Inspect tires, brakes, lights, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Record cargo details, fuel consumption, hours of service, and mileage.
- Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation including bills of lading, inspection reports, and logbooks.
- Communicate with dispatch and follow transport regulations.
Experience & Specialization
- Credentials: Class 1/A License, Air Brakes Endorsement.
- Documentation Knowledge: Bills of lading, driver logbooks, inspection and maintenance reports, trans-border documentation.
- Type of Equipment: Straight trucks, tractor-trailers.
- Travel Experience: National, regional, international, and long-haul.
- Technology: GPS and modern navigation equipment.
