Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant carpentry experience.
- Ability to work full-time on-site at various locations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- English language required.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials (wood, substitutes, lightweight steel, etc.).
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Supervise and coordinate other workers when required.
- Estimate costs and materials needed for projects.
